Passing of 50 year UA member Bruce Hunt

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Brother Bruce Hunt, who passed away November 14, 2022.  Brother Bruce had been a member of the UA for 50 years.

April 13th, 1949 ~ November 14th, 2022


With great sadness we announce the passing of our loved one Bruce.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents Clyde and Jessie Hunt and his sister and brother-in-law Donna and Frank Byrne.

Left to mourn him are his Regina family - life partner Shelly Brown; his step daughters Tracey (Dean) and Lori; his grandchildren Shayanne (Denny), Alexandria (Mike), Kelsi (Jordan), Steven (Tana), Jestin and Jared (Mackenzie). Last but not least are his great-grandchildren who will greatly miss their ‘poppa’; Alexander, Connor, Kaelis, Bentley, Mekhi, Ilah, Rylan, Grayson, Oaklynn, Theo and Isabel.

Also left to mourn his passing are his Newfoundland family - siblings Rosalind (Gord) Kelly, Linda (Alonzo) Carroll, Carol (Walter) Butler, Clyde (Ray) Hunt, Ruby (Antonio) Byrne, Paul (Diane) Hunt, Kathy (Roger) Parsons and Sherry Hunt.

Bruce’s greatest pleasures in later life were visiting the Union Hall, spending time with his great-grandchildren and camping at the “Little House on the Prairie”.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Regina Funeral Home in the Reception Room, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK. All those who wish to say good bye to “The Newfie” are welcome to attend.

A Service will also be held in Newfoundland at a time and date announced by his sister Sherry.
