Nomination Notice for the 41st UA International Convention

Dear Brothers & Sisters: 

UA Local 179 will be holding elections for 16 Delegate positions and 2 Alternate positions for the upcoming 41st UA International Convention being held in August 2026.  

To be eligible to be nominated or to vote you must be a journeyperson in good standing for two years.

The Election Timeline is as follows: 

·  January 17, 2026     UA Local 179 Delegate Nomination Meeting – UA Local 179 Union Hall, 402 Solomon Dr., Regina, immediately following the General Meeting.

·  February 21, 2026   UA Local 179 Delegate Nomination Meeting –  Ramada Hotel, 806 Idylwyld Dr. North, Saskatoon, immediately following the General Meeting. 

You can be nominated by being in attendance or by writing a letter accepting your nomination.

·  February 27, 2026   Ballots are mailed out. (Make sure your address is up to date with the Hall)

·  March 27, 2026        All ballots must be received and in the UA Local 179 post office box by 5:00 pm. 

·  March 30, 2026        Ballots are counted. 

·  March 31, 2026        Results of the election are announced.

·  April 2, 2026            In the event of a tie vote a Mail Ballot Runoff will be held on April 2, 2026

Please note:  This notice has also been mailed to the membership, to their address we have on file.
