Passing of Ewald Mayer UA Local 179
March 9, 2011

MAYER, Ewald Ewald's family sadly announces his very sudden passing on Tuesday, March 9, 2011 with his family by his side. Ewald was born on March 27, 1953 in Neudorf, Sk to Karl and Theresia Mayer and lived most of his life in Regina. He also lived briefly in Indian Head, Fort Qu'Appelle and Lloydminster before settling back in Regina for the last few years. He is survived by his children, daughter, Kelly (Dean) Kuntz, Grande Prairie, AB: son, Jeremy Mayer, Regina; one granddaughter, Taylor Kuntz; one brother, Bill Mayer and his family as well as cousins and many friends. Ewald took great pride in his abilities involved in the plumbing trade and worked on many projects in various cities in Saskatchewan and Alberta. A family graveside service will be held Monday morning. Friends and coworkers are invited to join the family for a luncheon from 1:00 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Broadway United Church Hall, 105 Broadway Ave., Regina, SK. The family wishes to thank RGH ER, Michael (social worker), Miles at Paragon and all his co-workers whom he considered his extended family with special thanks to Local 179.
