Passing of UA Local 179 member John McLennan

MCLENNAN, John
John passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the age of 74 years. He was predeceased by his wife Kathy; parents Steven and Alice; and sister Rose. John will be lovingly remembered by his sons Sean, Jody and Andy (Amanda); grandchildren Riley, Shae, Jake, Mekelie, Ella and Macy; as well as several nieces and nephews. John was born in Filmore SK, however he spent most of his life in Regina where he met his wife Kathy and raised three sons. He was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union UA Local 179 for over 50 years and retired out at the cabin in Crooked Lake Saskatchewan in 2012. He cherished his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He was very proud of them and watched them grow and follow their own dreams. At his request, there will not be a formal funeral however, the family has decided to plan a Celebration of Life in the near future. Donations in memory of John may be made to Palliative Care, c/o the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, #225 - 1874 Scarth Street, Regina SK S4P 4B3.
