Passing of UA Local 179 member Rodney McKinnon

March 23, 2026

It is with sadness that we announce that Rod passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the age of 69 years.

Rod is survived by his mom, Helen; siblings Ward, Grant (Dana) and Nancy; nieces Nicole (Clayton) and Rebecca (Keith); nephew Garret; great nephews Cameron, Liam, Levi, Theo, Easton and Knox. He was predeceased by his dad Melvin.

Rod was a proud member of the UA Local 179 throughout his life. He was an avid sports enthusiast, which encompassed all sports, especially the Bruins and Jays. At Rod’s request, no service will be held.

A special thank you to the Doctor’s, Nurses and staff of Parkside Special Care Home for their exceptional care of Rod.
