UA Local 179 Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to the 2013 recipients of the two UA Local 179 $1,000 Scholarships: Rachel Willis and Megan Deck.

Rachel receives the scholarship reserved for those students who graduated grade 12 this year and are going to begin post-secondary studies this fall. Rachel graduated grade 12 with an average of 98.3% and is an active volunteer in the community. She has just begun her studies at the University of Regina where she is currently enrolled in pre-optometry. 

Megan receives the scholarship for students returning to post-secondary study. Megan has just begun her first year of medicine at the U of S. She completed her first two years of university at the U of R where she maintained a GPA of 88.5% while working, volunteering and playing sports.

Congratulations Megan & Rachel and good luck with all your future endeavours!
