Dear Members,

As you may know, Enbridge’s Line 5 is the sole supplier of feedstock (Alberta crude) to several refineries built and maintained by our Brothers and Sisters at Sarnia’s Local 663, and has been the backbone of Ontario’s infrastructure for almost ¾ of a century. Michigan’s Governor Whitmer is attempting to shut Line 5 down, risking 50,000  jobs and severely impacting our way of life as we know it, as well as disrupting the economies and infrastructure of all of Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Indiana. Fuel supplies for heating to rural areas would be cut, as would fuel supplies for agriculture, fuel shortages for transportation, combined with substantially higher fuel costs at the pump, and major hubs of transportation such as Toronto’s Pearson Airport, Montreal, Quebec City, and Detroit Metro Airports would be left without a supply of fuel altogether.

Please take 2 minutes to protect the future of our Families, and click the attached link to sign our Parliamentary petition to demand that PM Trudeau take action, and address the issue  aggressively with the incoming Biden administration.

Don’t forget to watch for the confirmation email to complete the petition. Our future in your hands. Our lifestyle as we know it will drastically change if we don’t act NOW! Stand and make your voices heard!
